DNA Sampling
In each service that the User has purchased, the User will receive a set of tools consisting of a consumer consent letter, swab stick, DNA sample storage tube, manual, gloves, pouch containing absorbent pad, unique code, and letter of introduction from the representative Asa Ren to Users (hereinafter referred to as “DNA Test Kit”). The User is responsible for ensuring that the DNA sample taken is the User's own DNA sample. Users must follow the DNA sampling guide that Asa Ren has provided in the sampling tool or DNA Test Kit . After the DNA sample is taken, the User is required to send the User's DNA sample according to the shipping instructions in the guide that Asa Ren has provided. User's failure to follow each step of the DNA sampling guideline may result in the DNA sample being unable to be tested and/or the quality of the DNA sample testing results being too low. In this case, Asa Ren provides the service of re-sampling the User's DNA at no additional cost for one time only. In the event that after re-taking the DNA sample, the User still fails to provide a DNA sample according to the guidelines set by Asa Ren, then the User is deemed not to have exercised the User's right to continue the Service so that Asa Ren is released from all forms of compensation as a result of this. In the event that a User is a child under 18 years of age, and has obtained consent and/or been represented by a parent/guardian, DNA sampling must be carried out by the parent/guardian while remaining subject to these Terms of Service. The parent/guardian is fully responsible for the collection of the DNA sample.
Customers can take samples independently or through Home Service.
In the Home Service option, Asa Ren takes DNA samples directly at the User's location by Asa Ren's health workers. To use this service, the User is required to provide confirmation to the Asa Ren team in advance, the Asa Ren team will then schedule the arrival of the DNA sampling service to the User's location according to the available schedule along with the price for the DNA sampling service at the location where the User is located. User's absence at the specified location, User can submit a rescheduling within 6 (six) hours to Asa Ren, later than that hour without notification from the User, User has agreed to cancel User's DNA sampling service and User cannot submit Return request.
After taking the sample, the User must store the sample in the place provided according to the manual. The user must immediately send the results of the sampling to Asa Ren. If the sample is not sent immediately, the User is required to store the sample in accordance with the manual. The results of sampling that has been carried out by the User must be received at the Asa Ren lab no later than 7 days after the sampling was carried out. .If the sample is taken by the Asa Ren Homeservice Team, then the sample will be brought directly by the Asa Ren ATLM
Delays in receiving the sample at the Asa Ren lab and/or errors in sample storage by the User and/or mishandling in sending samples can result in the sample being unfit for testing. Asa Ren can request a new sample only for 1 re-sampling at Asa Ren's expense.
Asa Ren implements Laboratory Technical Problem Risk prevention procedures or Laboratory Error Standards that are effectively implemented in testing laboratories to protect and prevent against technical and operational problems although problems may still occur. Errors may occur due to improper sampling by the User. Including but not limited to sample damage that may occur during delivery due to constraints such as inadequate documents, wrong labels, wrong address on the package, loss of samples at the testing laboratory or delays based on the fault of Asa Ren Partners. Obstacles that may prevent a laboratory from obtaining proper results, including, but not limited to: contamination of DNA samples; deficiencies in sampling by Users; non-interpretable results;problem data genotypes; and, User mislabeling of DNA samples. When such problems are encountered, the lab may request a new sample for only 1 re-sampling at Asa Ren's expense.
You agree that Asa Ren has the right to analyze, test, extract and examine your DNA sample at Asa Ren's Laboratory and/or Asa Ren's affiliated Laboratory and/or third party laboratories that work closely with Asa Ren.
Report Results and Limitations
Your DNA Report contains information intended for lifestyle and educational guidance only. This report is not intended to be a fully comprehensive medical report. The information provided is not intended for medical diagnosis or medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment or a doctor's visit. This report does not take into account your current health condition or any medications you have been prescribed.
All information and advice in the form of a score about your health status, exercise habits or diet, whether specific or general in this DNA Report, is based on the following assumptions:
- That you have met the sample collection requirements correctly.
- That you have accurately provided the required details in the consent form prior to testing.
- That you have agreed to the statements in the Terms of Service.
- That your actions or inaction based on the statements and recommendations in the DNA Report are your sole responsibility.
Your DNA sample has been examined to identify your genetic profile. This is indicated by a number of specific SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms), which represent your DNA sequence and have been shown to be related to human health. The selection of specific SNPs is known through the publication of peer-reviewed, which has strong scientific and statistical significance in genetic association studies. Your SNP is thoroughly analyzed using standardized laboratory equipment and supplies and carried out by competent laboratory personnel.
Our inspection may not identify all variations not covered in the test panel. This includes mutations associated with disease risk, exercise response, dietary requirements, and lifestyle. Your test results may be affected by a rare condition (haematolymphoid neoplasm, bone marrow transplant, recent blood transfusion), and the DNA analyzed may not represent a complete picture of your genome.
Genetic risk scoring algorithms are used to analyze your genetic profile and generate individual scores for each of the characters present. The score represents your genetic predisposition, susceptibility to developing certain conditions (such as certain diseases/health problems). Having a genetic predisposition to a condition does not mean that the condition/disease will occur. Lifestyle and environmental factors also play a role and can influence the traits that may appear.
The current information available in the medical literature and databases, and the bioinformatics and algorithms used in analyzing the data are subject to change. As a result, actual information may be updated to complement or replace the data used in the DNA Report that has been provided to you. This results in the possibility of tailoring the risk analysis based on your genetic profile and advice and prevention of associated conditions. You understand and agree that based on this new information and/or changes to our bioinformatics analyzes and laboratory algorithms, we may update or modify your DNA Report at our sole discretion. So that it can change the results of your DNA report. In this regard, we will notify you of any changes to the results of your DNA report. You unconditionally waive any and all claims against us for any revisions or modifications to the DNA Report and related services we make in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
Your health is your responsibility. Anytime you have a concern that the information in this DNA Report may or may not apply to your condition, we advise you to consult your doctor or medical professional before confirming, acting on, or not acting on any of the suggestions in this DNA Report. You must not delay consultation, ignore medical advice, or discontinue medical treatment because of the information provided in this DNA Report. In this case, you are responsible for any actions you did or did not take, as a consequence of the endorsement and advice in this DNA Report, and you will assume Asa Ren, its affiliates, directors, commissioners, employees, appointed professional consultants and representatives, is not responsible for any of your losses, costs and expenses.
